What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're be checking out this 2-5/16 inch ball for the trailer valet. We got the RVR12 here today, and it's gonna be a good replacement for if you misplaced it or damaged it, you don't have to buy a whole new thing, you can just get this. Let's check it out. Now you're gonna get the ball and the plate. So we'll run that through there.
You do not get the lock washer, so you'll need to have the old one or get a new one for that. So I'll put that on. This all the same way your old one did. This threads in. Do it hand-tight at first and we'll use the tool to tighten it down.
The ball's gonna be a sturdy steel construction with a zinc-nickel alloy finish so you don't have to worry about it rusting or corroding out there in the elements. You see how easy it was to put on there and replace when you need to. Now I would say something if you are switching back and forth between a 2-5/16 inch ball and 2 inch ball, you can buy the ball base here separately. That way you can tighten this down once, leave this one in and just swap this out when you need to move a different trailer. It's gonna have a sturdy steel construction with a zinc-nickel alloy finish.
So that's gonna help keep it protected out in the elements and just keep it from rusting and corroding. Overall, I do like that you can buy a replacement part for this without having to get the whole assembly. So you can get another size ball if you need to, you can get the plate, you can get the base that the ball mounts to, you can replace that as well. And the whole tower in different combinations. So make sure you check our website for those replacement parts.

However, the delivery was late by three days, and see the attached picture. The ball hitch came in a bubble-wrapped yellow mailer that was stomped on, drug through the garbage, rolled in tar, and feathered. However, since the steel ball was...steel, nothing was damaged except the wrapping. There was tape around it and a hole and rips.

Fantastic. My back does not hurt any more. It s so easy to move my boat trailer and my large camper. You must have a firm floor. No mats.
When we bought a new trailer it had a larger ball going from 2" to 2-5/16" ball. I wasn't sure if I my Trailer Valet ball would be easy enough for me to replace. I came off easily and like many of you I tried just a regular ball from my but The Trailer Valet XL uses a specific thread.
I found the e-trailer carried the ball and it came with a larger plate that would compensate for the bigger trailer.
I place the order and when the package arrived it was missing the plate, I don't know if it was lost in the mail as mine arrived in just a padded envelope. it had some tears in it but nothing big enough to lose the plate.
I emailed etrailer not expecting anything until Monday as it was Saturday that I got the package. I got an email on Sunday and confirmed with them that it was missing the plate and was told they would send it.
Today I recieved not only the plate but the a ball as well I guess they come as a kit.
I would love to send back the extra ball as I don't need 2 of them. Anyway I have had the Trailer Valet XL since 2015 and have used with a pop up trailer, then a 24 foot hard side now a 30 foot one. As anyone who uses Trailer Valet can attest to sometimes those last few feet or minor adjustments when backing up onto a home RV pad can be a pain the the Trailer Valet does a great job at.
etrailer has been great, not only haveing parts that I needed and they have had expert advice and help that I needed with this new bigger trailer.

I own a Trailer Valet XL and bought a new trailer with a larger hitch ball. Easy enough to switch out. Just ask my neighbors who like to borrow it, lol Just kidding, they can borrow it anytime. Luv etrailer!!

Still Works Great! Now a couple more neighbors borrowing it, lol The only thing that happened and this was me, the handle broke off after it fell over. It would be handy, but its OK without it. Broke right at the welds. :
This is a vital component for my Trailer Valet. When I first ordered my valet, I got it with a 2" hitch ball. I discovered my trailer hitch required a 2 5/8" ball. Shipping was prompt, the product very nicely engineered, and it did the trick.
Bought this for adapting my trailer valet TVXL20 to a 2-5/16" ball from the factory 2" ball included with that model (TVXL25 has the larger ball already). Threaded perfectly and the plate included with this ball is larger to match this ball diameter. My only complaint is that the trailer valet didn't include a generic thread to begin with that could have saved some money but given the proprietary plate I can see why they don't do that.

We purchased the trailer valet XL almost a year ago. It worked as advertised. We learned that putting wood down on gravel makes it much easier to get traction and it is critical to have the proper tire inflation pressure. We moved a 5000 lb trailer easily and now have purchased an 8500 lb trailer. Haven't used it yet but I am optimistic it will work just fine. Tightening the bill is a little tricky. The video will show you the proper way and you will not have a problem. It's quite a brilliant piece of equipment. It was a great asset since our camp site is on the edge of a cliff and our truck could not position the trailer where we wanted it. There was not enough room and the trailer valet XL was the answer.
Very satisfied , my wife ordered the Trailer Valet for me as a surprise . She ordered it with a 2" ball instead of the 2 5/16" ball . Happy to find that they are interchangeable . The metric threads and pitch must be unique to Trailer Valet . Great move on their part. Order arrived before scheduled date . Very happy with Etrailer will order again . Looking at airbag set up for my F-250

The ball itself is nice ... but the valet is hard to keep vertical in use.

The ball was perfect for moving my trailer with my Trailer Valet tool. The ball had no issues. It was the right size and steel, like Superman. The valet, however, was not super easy, but good enough. I had an EVO 2850 with about 7K dry weight. I bought the 10K lb valet and the wrong ball. So I bought this one. And I could quickly move my beast around my driveway when contractors came to clean the roof, gutters, and solar.
